Course Overview

Module 1

WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE FINANCE - AND WHY IS IT SIGNIFICANT FOR IFCS?

Welcome to the first module of Equilibrium Future’s online training. This module will show you what Sustainable Finance means, and how it is connected to ESG - that’s Environment, Social and Governance factors that are changing the face of finance in your jurisdiction and worldwide.

Module 2

OPPORTUNITIES - THE UPSIDE FOR FINANCE SERVICE PROVIDERS

Many people are unaware of the opportunities presented by sustainable finance and ESG. Traditionally, sustainability has been viewed as a business risk. But in fact, it offers massive investment potential. This module covers the core advantages of adopting a Sustainable Finance and ESG strategy across your business.

Module 3

GLOBAL DRIVERS OF SUSTAINABLE FINANCE

In this module, we’ll explore the latest trends and developments in Sustainable Finance, and how the market for ESG investing is rapidly expanding around the world. We’ll also examine the role of International Finance Centres (IFCs) in this process, and how these centres may be affected by future trends.

Module 4

FIDUCIARY DUTY - LEGAL OBLIGATIONS AND ESG

In this module, we’ll take a closer look at fiduciary duty, especially for Trustees who are responsible for looking after their beneficiaries’ money. What does the law have to say about ESG and sustainable finance in relation to that?

Module 5

MEASURING PERFORMANCE - DATA, METRICS AND TOOLS

This module has been designed to give you a deeper understanding of the different standards and measurement approaches that Financial Service Providers will need to be aware of.

Module 6

NEXT GEN PRIORITIES - UNDERSTANDING FAMILY OFFICE, ASSET OWNERS AND ESG

In this module, we focus on the movement of money among the wealthiest individuals on the planet. In terms of sustainable finance, they offer a key group to engage with in the transition of the world economy towards sustainability.

Module 7

INVESTING FOR IMPACT

In this module, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the jargon around the 'green' investment space, and how to identify investing for impact - investment or lending that produces a defined impact that is good for profit, people and the planet.

Module 8

FUTURE TRENDS - DISRUPTION AND INNOVATION IN THE NEXT DECADE

Finance has to change if we are to avoid financing ourselves into extinction. But how is that going to happen? And what is likely to drive forward or hold back ESG and Sustainable Finance? That's what we'll learn in this module.

What our supporters have to say

"When we founded Accuro, our vision was to change our industry for the better. Our society’s “profit at any cost” model has become unsustainable. We have redefined our view of success for ourselves, for private businesses and for those owning wealth. We assume ownership of the social and environmental impact of our business. Sustainability and purpose are at the heart of our strategy and  culture."
